1% Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax for Planning, Engineering, and Constructing Public Streets -

Summary

For street reconstruction and paving including curb and gutter, sidewalk and sewer main, Shall Johnson County be authorized to impoase an additional one percent (1%) Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax, within Johnson Couny, the proceeds from which and the interest earned theron to be used and applied for the purpose of planning, engineering, and constructing public streets known as West Fetterman Street from Burritt Avenue to Fort Street, Flat Iron Drive, and Burritt Avenue from West Angust Street to Fort Street; (this tax shall raise seven million eighty three thousand four hundred seventy-two dollars ($7,083,472.00) at which time the Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax will expire); and any excess funds and interest theron shall be used for operation and maintenance or construction of the public street system and all funds will be subject to an annual audit?
