City of Dearing Question Submitted - Citywide retailers' sales tax

Shall the following be adopted? Shall a renewal of the one percent (1%) retailer's sales tax be levied in the City of Dearing for the purpose of park upgrades, sewer drainage projects, streets, water system upgrades and building maintenance? Such tax would take effect on the 1st day of April, 2023, and to expire five (5) years after imposition thereof, if approved by a majority of electors voting thereon, and otherwise be subject to all applicable state laws and administrative rules and regulations of the Kansas Department of Revenue.
