City of Wayne Proposal No. 2 -

Amendment to Sections 4.2 and 6.2 of the Wayne City Charter to provide that a district council member (who must reside in that district) is to be elected by the voters of the district rather than by all city voters. Note: This is the second of two competing proposals regarding the election of city council members. In the event both proposals are approved by the voters, the proposal receiving the greater number of affirmative votes shall prevail. The proposed amendment provides that a district council member is to be elected by the voters of the district to be represented by that district council member rather than by all city voters. Shall the proposed amendment be adopted?
