Get StartedShall Fremont School District RE-2 debt be increased up to $25 million with a repayment cost of up to $46.5 million, and without imposing a new tax shall annual bond redemption taxes approved by district voters in 2003 be extended to pay such new debt incurred for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, repairing and improving district capital assets including, among other things: - Penrose Elementary: Security and safety improvements at the front entrance and interior classrooms, and an ada ramp into the cafeteria and gymnasium for improved access; - Fremont Elementary: Security and safety improvements at the front entrance, a new attached multi-purpose cafeteria, and new parent/bus drop-off/pick-up areas; and - Florence JR/SR High School; Security and safety improvements at the front entrance, an additional auxiliary gym/locker rooms, and instructional space improvements to expand career and technical education learning areas; through issuance of general obligation bonds which shall bear interest, mature, be subject to redemption, with or without premium, and be issued at such time, at such price (at, above or below par) and in such manner and containing such terms, not inconsistent with this ballot issue, as the board of education may determine; and shall ad valorem property taxes be levied without limit as to the mill rate but by not more than $1.92 million annually, to generate amounts sufficient in each year to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and to fund any reserves for the payment thereof?
