Get StartedElection to authorize levies for the years beginning July 1, 2025, July 1, 2026, July 1, 2027, and July 1, 2028 for the purpose of providing financial support to the Jackson County Ambulance Service according to the Order of the County Commission of Jackson County entered on the 31 day of January 2024. The levy shall be on Class I property 4.69 cents per $100 of assessed valuation (this represents $4.69 in tax dollars for every $10,000 of assessed valuation); on Class II property 9.38 cents per $100 of assessed valuation (this represents $9.38 in tax dollars for every $10,000 of assessed valuation); on Class III property 18.76 cents per $100 of assessed valuation (this represents $18.76 in tax dollars for every $10,000 of assessed valuation); on Class IV property 18.76 cents per $100 of assessed valuation (this represents $18.76 in tax dollars for every $10,000 of assessed valuation). In the event the separate and aggregate assessed valuation of each class of taxable property within the County of Jackson changes during the term of the special levy, the levy rate may be adjusted so that the projected tax revenue will remain approximately $2,520,035 (after an allowance for exonerations, delinquencies, tax discounts and uncollectible taxes) in any fiscal year.
