Lake County Emergency Medical Services Millage Renewal and Partial Reduction of the Previously Voted Millage that Expired in 2019 Proposal -

For the sole purpose of continuing funding the operation of the County Emergency Medical Services Program, shall the previously voted authorized increase of the constitutional limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all taxable property within the County of Lake, Michigan, that expired in 2019, and that has been reduced by the Headlee Amendment to .9969, be renewed and partially reduced to .7500 mills ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period of five (5) years (2020-2024) inclusive? (If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $455,255 for Emergency Medical Services in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value. In accordance with State law, a portion of the millage may also be disbursed to the Village of Baldwin Downtown Development Authority).
