Get StartedShall the County of Monroe, Michigan, be authorized to levy annually a renewal of the previously voted tax increase, which expires in 2020, in an amount not to exceed 1.0 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property within Monroe County for a period of eight (8) years, 2021 to 2028, inclusive, for the purpose of operating, equipping, purchasing, and making capital improvements for the Monroe County Library System and all other library purposes authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue Monroe County will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year (2021) is approximately $6,300,000. Funds from this millage will be distributed to the Monroe County Library System. By law, a portion of the millage may be subject to capture by the Village of Dundee Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and the City of Monroe Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.
