Get StartedTHIS IS AN INCREASE OF $0.25 CENTS PER $1,000.00 OF EXISTING $1.50 TAX. THIS INCREASE ALLOWS JACK PINE VILLAGE SRD TO CONTINUE GENERAL ROAD MAINTENANCE, GRAVEL, REPAIR ROAD WASHOUTS, RIGHT OF WAY CLEARING, SINEAGE REPAIR, ANNUAL SNOW REMOVAL AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS AS NEEDED. DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF MATERIALS AND FUEL THE INCREASE WILL KEEP THE ROAD DISTRICT FUNCTIONING. THE CURRENT TAX RATE OF $1.50, WILL GENERATE APPROXIMATELY $19,477.00 WITH THE ASSESSED VALUE OF $12,985,000. THE INCREASED RATE OF $0.25 CENTS WILL ADD APPROXIMATELY $3,250.00 IN ADDITIONAL REVENUE. WITHOUT THIS ADDITIONAL REVENUE, IT WILL BE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE MAINTENANCE TO THE VILLAGE GIVEN THE INCREASE IN ALL OF THE COSTS OF MATERIALS AND FUEL. The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the best information available from the county assessor at the time of estimate and may reflect the impact of early payment discounts, compression, and the collection rate.
SHALL THE DISTRICT IMPOSE $1.75 PER $1,000.00 OF ASSESSED VALUE FOR GENERAL OPERATION PER YEAR FOR FIVE YEARS BEGINNING FY2025-2026? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent.
