Proposed City Charter Amendment No. 2 - Residency Requirement For Candidates For Office, Three Hundred Sixty-five (365) Days.

Do you approve an amendment to the charter of the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Article VI, "Election and Qualification of Officers", section 7, "Qualification of Officers", requiring candidates for the office of mayor, city auditor and city councilor to have been residents of the city or council district for three hundred sixty-five (365) days at the time of filing? The proposed amended Section 7 reads in part as follows: "Section 7. Qualification of Officers. No person shall be eligible to hold the office of mayor or city auditor unless such person shall have been a qualified elector and resident of the city for at least three hundred sixty-five (365) days at the time of filing for the office... No person shall be eligible to hold the office of councilor for an election district unless such person shall have been a qualified elector and resident of the election district for at least three hundred sixty–five (365) days at the time of filing for the office of councilor for that election district..."
