Forest Hill: Proposition 1 - Sales Tax for Infrastructure

Shall the Village of Forest Hill, State of Louisiana (the "Village"), be authorized to levy and collect a tax of one-half of one percent (1/2%) (the "Tax"), in perpetuity, commencing January 1, 2023, upon the sale at retail, the use, lease or rental, the consumption, and the storage for use or consumption, of tangible personal property and on sales of services, all as defined by law (an estimated $39,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), with the proceeds of the Tax (after paying the reasonable and necessary costs and expenses of collecting and administering the Tax) to be used for acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating the gas utility and distribution system, waterworks system, sewers and sewerage treatment and disposal facilities, including purchasing and acquiring land, equipment and fixtures necessary therefor?
