Get StartedThis is a renewal of the expired County Senior Citizens 0.2500 millage that will provide funds for expanding and continuing services to older citizens in Sanilac County. Shall the expired previously voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Sanilac County, which was last approved for four years by the electors in 2020, be renewed at the originally voted 0.2500 mill ($0.25 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), and levied for four (4) years, 2024 through 2027 inclusive, to provide funds for use by the Sanilac County Council on Aging to maintain and expand services to older citizens in Sanilac County? If approved, it is estimated that the 0.2500 mill would raise $465,677 in the first year the millage is levied. A portion of the millage may be captured by local Tax Increment Financing Districts, Brownfield Redevelopment Authorities and Downtown Development Authorities.
