Get StartedShall a proposition of Bryan County, Oklahoma, enacting a Bryan County sales tax increase, effective January 1, 2025, of One-Quarter of One Percent (1/4 Cent) on gross receipts or gross proceeds of all taxable sales within Bryan County, Oklahoma, in addition to all sales taxes currently being levied or assessed in Bryan County, provided such sales tax increase shall not apply to food and food ingredients as defined in Section 1352 of Title 68 of the Oklahoma Statutes, for the purpose of providing funding for the Bryan County Sheriff's Office including, but not limited to, payroll support, training, acquisition of equipment, vehicles, facilities, and the construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance and operation of public safety facilities operated by the Sheriff's Office, said tax to remain permanent for an indefinite period for support of the Sheriff's Office; authorizing the pledging of the sales tax for debt service, if applicable, be approved?
