Get StartedFor the sole purpose of continuing funding for the operation of the Kalkaska Conservation District, including programs to assist landowners in the protection, enhancement, and restoration of natural resources, including invasive plant species control and household hazardous waste collection within the County of Kalkaska, at the same millage level approved by the voters in 2020, as constitutionally reduced, shall the Constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the County of Kalkaska, Michigan, be renewed at the rate of up to.2461 of one (1) mill ($0.2461 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) for a period of four (4) years, 2024 through 2027, inclusive? If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $262,052.00 funding for the operation of the Kalkaska Conservation District in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value. In accordance with State law, a small portion of the millage may also be disbursed to the Downtown Development Authority of the Village of Kalkaska.
