Get StartedShall the County of Ogemaw, Michigan continue its levy of general ad valorem taxes which may be imposed for all purposes upon real and personal property in Ogemaw County, as provided in Article 9, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, as amended, by renewing the 0.7486 mills previously approved by the voters, and restoring the 0.0014 mills by which the prior rate was reduced, for a return to the full rate of up to 0.75 mill ($0.75 per $1,000) of taxable valuation of such property as finally equalized, for ten (10) years, 2024 through 2033, inclusive, which levy is estimated to raise up to $834,879.52 in the first year, to provide operating funds for the Ogemaw Commission on Aging to help support programs for the senior citizens of Ogemaw County? If approved and levied, a portion of the millage may also be disbursed, in accordance with State law, to the Downtown Development Authorities of the City of West Branch and the Township of West Branch.
