Get StartedThe Benton County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2023-505 concerning funding for public safety, law enforcement and criminal justice. This proposition would continue funding for criminal justice needs such as police officers, sheriff deputies and prosecutors (55 officers and 4 prosecutors are currently funded with this tax), defenders, Metro Drug Task Force and other gang and crime prevention efforts, and court and clerk needs, including judicial officers and drug courts, by continuing the sales and use tax of three-tenths of one percent (thirty cents on a hundred dollar purchase) that otherwise will expire on December 31, 2024.
