Get StartedShall the Parish of Morehouse, Louisiana (the "Parish"), rededicate the existing and future net revenues of the one-half percent (1/2%) sales and use tax now levied and collected pursuant to an election held on December 6, 2014 (annual collections approximately $1,500,000) (the "Tax"), as follows: (1) first, to continue paying from the Solid Waste Fund all expenses of constructing, acquiring, maintaining, improving, and operating a solid waste collection and disposal system and landfill, and to maintain a fund balance in the Solid Waste Fund at the end of 2024 and subsequent fiscal years of at least $500,000; and then (2) to pay from the Road Maintenance Fund costs of constructing, operating and maintaining roads and bridges in the Parish; and shall the Parish be authorized to make a one-time transfer from the Solid Waste Fund of $1,000,000 of unexpended proceeds of the Tax to the General Fund to pay for any lawful expenses, and any remaining balance to the Road Maintenance Fund to pay for constructing, operating and maintaining roads and bridges in the Parish, provided that a minimum $500,000 fund balance in the Solid Waste Fund remains after such one-time transfers?
