Get StartedShall Ontonagon County renew a tax to help with operating expenses for maintaining an animal shelter in the amount of 0.15 mills (15 cents per $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of four (4) years? This millage shall begin in 2025 and continue through 2028 on that taxable value of all taxable property in Ontonagon County, State of Michigan, as provided by Article IX, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution. The funds received shall be used for operating expenses of the animal shelter operated by Ontonagon County Animal Protection (OCAP) and located at 1954 M-38 in Ontonagon. This millage is estimated to raise $49,902 in the first year.
