Get StartedSpecial Election to authorize additional levies for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2025, July 1, 2026, July 1, 2027, July 1, 2028 and July 1, 2029, for the purpose of funding the volunteer fire companies of Grant County, West Virginia according to the Order of the County Commission of Grant County, entered on the 23rd day of August, 2024. The total approximate amount needed for said purposes is $509,524.00 annually. The projected sum of the collections over the five-year period of the proposed levy is $2,500,000.00 to be divided equally between the four Volunteer Fire Companies of Grant County each year with $10,000.00 going to the Grant County Volunteer Fire Association the first quarter of each levy fiscal year. The additional levy shall be on Class I property $1.25 cents per $100.00 of assessed value; on Class II property $2.50 cents per $100.00 of assessed value and on Class III and Class IV property $5.00 cents per $100.00 of assessed value.
