Get StartedShall the constitutional tax rate limitation on general ad valorem taxes which may be levied by the County of Otsego, State of Michigan, against taxable property in the County be increased by up to 0.25 mills ($0.25 per $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) on the taxable value of such property for a period of five (5) years, 2022 through 2026, both inclusive, to provide funds for the continued operation and maintenance of all programs, parks and facilities under the jurisdiction of the Otsego County Parks and Recreation Commission, including the Community Center, and shall the Otsego County Board of Commissioners be authorized to levy such millage for this purpose? If approved and levied in its entirety, this millage is estimated to provide revenues of approximately $348,300 in 2022. By law, the City of Gaylord Downtown Development Authority (DDA) may capture and retain only that portion of the millage which is collected from the properties located within the defined DDA District boundaries.
