Get StartedShall a special one percent sales and use tax be continued in the special district of Twiggs County for a period of time not to exceed Five (5) Years and for the raising of an estimated amount of $4,000,000.00 for the purpose of funding the following capital outlay projects: (a) the following Level Two county-wide capital outlay projects to be owned or operated or both by Twiggs County (the "Level Two Projects"), to be funded first from the raised net proceeds from the imposition of the special one percent sales and use tax: (1) road, street and bridge capital projects; and (2) public recreation capital projects; (b) the following remaining capital outlay projects to be owned or operated or both by Twiggs County, to be funded following the funding of the Level Two Projects: (1) road, street and bridge capital projects; and (2) recreation capital projects; (c) the following remaining capital outlay projects to be owned or operated or both by the Municipality of Jeffersonville, to be funded following the funding of the Level Two Projects: (1) improvements to water production, treatment and distribution and sewage systems, including but not limited to water line replacement; (2) equipment, including but not limited to a backhoe and vehicles for use in connection with the water and sewage systems and other City operations; (3) repairs and improvements to City streets; (4) acquisition and/or renovation of building(s) and furniture, including but not limited to building(s) for use as a city hall and the fire department; (5) improvement to city parks and recreation facilities, including but not limited to replacement of fence(s), repairs to basketball and tennis court(s), and a new playground and recreational equipment; and (6) equipment and building capital lease repayment; (d) the following remaining capital outlay projects to be owned or operated or both by the Municipality of Allentown, to be funded following the funding of the Level Two Projects: (1) capital projects for community improvements; (2) capital projects for water improvements; (3) capital projects for fire service improvements; and (e) the following remaining capital outlay projects to be owned or operated or both by the Municipality of Danville, to be funded following the funding of the Level Two Projects: (1) capital projects for fire services; (2) capital projects for streets and roads; (3) capital projects for parks and recreation.
