Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for Educational Purposes - Sales and Use Tax

Shall a special one percent sales and use tax for educational purposes be imposed in Hancock County for a period not to exceed eight (8) calendar quarters and for the purpose of raising not more than $2,200,000 of net proceeds by said tax, which shall go to the School District for the purpose of (i) adding to, renovating, improving, equipping and furnishing existing school buildings and facilities, transportation facilities, physical education and athletic fields and facilities, classrooms, agricultural facilities and other facilities, (ii) acquiring, constructing, equipping and furnishing land, new school buildings and facilities, including a new pre-k-12 school and related facilities (iii) acquiring technology equipment, computer hardware and software, safety and security equipment and other school equipment, (iv) acquiring school buses and other school vehicles, (v) acquiring textbooks and band instruments, and (vi) acquiring any capital property necessary or desirable for the foregoing purposes, both real and personal?
