SPLOST - Sales and Use Tax

Shall a special one percent sales and use tax be reimposed in the special district in Bartow County for a period of time of six years for the raising of approximately $308,000,000 for the purpose of funding (a)(i) Public Works, (ii) Public Safety, (iii) Recreation and Culture, (iv) Economic Development, (v) Courthouse Campus Extension and Renovation, (vi) Public Safety Radios and System Upgrade and (vii) Conference Center Expansion, all for the benefit of Bartow County (collectively, the "County Projects"); (b)(i) Roads, Streets, Bridges, Sidewalks and Bicycle Paths and Storm Water Drainage, (ii) Water and Wastewater, (iii) Recreation and Culture and (iv) Public Safety, all for the benefit of Adairsville, (c)(i) Public Safety, (ii) Information Technology and Fiber, (iii) City Buildings and Facilities, (iv) Airport Improvements, (v) Public Works, and (vi) Parks and Recreation, all for the benefit of Cartersville, (d)(i) Utility System, (ii) Public Safety, (iii) Transportation, (iv) Public Services and (v) Support Services, all for the benefit of Emerson, (e)(i) Water and Sewer, (ii) Downtown Development, (iii) Roads, (iv) Equipment, (v) Infrastructure and (vi) Recreation, all for the benefit of Euharlee, (f)(i) Roads, (ii) Stormwater, (iii) Water and Sewer, (iv) Recreation, (v) City Hall, (vi) Public Works and (vii) Public Safety and Welfare, all for the benefit of Kingston and (g)(i) Water and Sewer, (ii) Transportation and Street, (iii) Public Services and (iv) Public Safety, all for the benefit of White? If reimposition of the tax is approved by the voters in the County, such vote shall also constitute approval of the issuance of general obligation debt of Bartow County in a principal amount up to $65,000,000 for the purpose of funding all or a portion of any of the County projects or any of the municipal projects other than the Cartersville projects, funding capitalized interest (If any) on the County Debt and paying the costs of issuing the County Debt. If reimposition of the tax is approved by the voters County-wide and in Cartersville, such vote shall also constitute the approval of the issuance of general obligation debt of Cartersville in a principal amount up to $25,000,000 for the purpose of funding all or a portion of any of the Cartersville projects, funding capitalized interest (if any) on the Cartersville Debt and paying the costs of issuing the Cartersville Debt.
