SPLOST Referendum - Sales and Use Taxes

Shall a special 1 percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Columbia County for a period of time not to exceed six (6) years for the raising of an estimated amount of $288,000,000 for the purpose of funding the acquisition of the following capital outlay projects within Columbia County: (A) for Columbia County: (i) public safety and emergency services, (ii) community services, (iii) transportation, (iv) information technology and broadband, (v) county facilities, (vi) economic development, and (vii) stormwater; (B) for the City of Grovetown: (i) public works vehicles and equipment, (ii) public safety vehicles and equipment, (iii) renovations and expansion of city facilities, (iv) water and sewer improvements including storm water, (v)transportation improvements, (vi) recreation improvements, and (vii) communications and computer equipment; (C) for the City of Harlem: (i) construction and renovations to city facilities, (ii) transportation improvements, (iii) recreation improvements, and (iv) acquisition of vehicles and equipment; and (D) for County-wide projects: replacement of aging County facilities.
