Get StartedInitiative No. 65 proposes to amend the Mississippi Constitution to allow qualified patients with debilitating medical conditions, as certified by Mississippi licensed physicians, to use medical marijuana. This amendment would allow medical marijuana to be provided only by licensed treatment centers. The Mississippi State Department of Health would regulate and enforce the provisions of this amendment.
A “YES” vote on Initiative 65 is a vote in support of legalizing medical marijuana for any patient who qualifies under the approved medical conditions as diagnosed by a licensed physician; allowing medical marijuana sales by licensed treatment centers; and allowing medical marijuana sales to be taxed at a rate no greater than the state sales tax. NOTE: A vote in favor of Initiative 65 is a vote declaring that you prefer Initiative 65 over Alternative 65A.
