I support efforts to rebuild the downtown area and the rest of the city. Our city is growing and we need to expand opportunity in every area of the city. Economic development across the entire city is a necessary effort. The city should pursue partnership development with businesses and industry across the entire city. Learn more
Develop the long range planning for utility systems infrastructure so that as growth occurs the utilities are ready. The Drake Power plant will eventually need to be replaced which could be new generation or purchased power. Regardless of how the new power is developed the transmission lines will need to be upgraded in order to get the power to where it will be used. Southern Delivery System Phase II will add new reservoirs and expansion of the Ed Baily Water Treatment Plant. These upgrades will not be needed for a number of years yet but that planning needs to be done over the next several years to that we are ready before the need for water becomes critical. Learn more
