I support the Back the Blue law that the House passed last year, which increased penalties for violent and destructive rioters and looters, and gave our law enforcement officers additional resources and legal protections while they do their important job. Iowa parents should be able to have a choice and a say in what type of education is best for their child. I believe in giving parents a line of sight into the curriculum and materials in their child’s classroom, and ultimately I believe in school choice measures that will give parents alternatives if they’re not happy with what’s going on in their child’s school. I believe that standing up for your rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness should be the first priority of our state government. That includes protecting life at all stages, from conception to natural death, and protecting the constitutional rights of Iowans, including your 1st and 2nd Amendment rights as Americans. Learn more
Your land is yours — period. I won’t support any projects that seize private property through eminent domain. Doing so goes against the basic concept of liberty and property rights. Pipelines and renewable energy projects should have to obtain landowner consent for any affected property. Learn more
