Get StartedMy goal is to work to safeguard residents from crimes, disaster, potential dangers, and threats to the county. I understand that as Clay County continues to grow, so will the amount of service calls for emergency services. I will work with our County Commissioners to find ways to raise the salaries of Sheriff Officers, Firefighters, and EMTS. Our best way to attract and retain experienced First Responders is by rewarding them with competitive salaries for keeping our community safe. Learn more
I will work to do my part to bring companies that benefit residents to the district to help grow our economy. Currently, more than 80% of the voters in Clay County are commuting to Jacksonville, St, Augustine and other areas for work. We should be looking at ways to bring bigger companies and better paying jobs to residents of this district. This is something that I'm committed to doing! Learn more
During the 2021 Florida legislative sessions, Senate Bill 90 was signed into law. It added new restrictions on drop boxes, third-party voter registration, mail voting, and "line warnings" which restricts activities like giving voters food and water while they wait in line to cast their votes. My position is that elgible voters should never be discouraged by political barriers from participating in our election process. We must protect the voting rights of all citizen and reform our voting laws that currently reflect a cynical effort to suppress voter turnout. Learn more
Once elected, I will advocate for funds for access to general counseling and mental health. I believe that long-term care should be available for our first responders, and public educator population at no-out of pocket cost to them. Additionally, I will fight to establish Mental Health Units within Law enforcement agencies in the state of Florida. This unit will be trained to properly respond to individuals that have a history of mental illness. Learn more
I have talked to many mothers, young adults, and seniors faced with the burden of uncertainty of not being able to afford a decent palce to live. I believe that lawmakers can help ease this stressor by protecting the Sadowski Affordable Housing Trust Fund which is solely intended for affordable housing. Under the State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) program, I will work to ensure that the monies are used for its purpose. It's time that we use the $15 billion sitting in reserves for real action on workforce housing affordability. Learn more
Currently More than 50% of CIay County's population is made up of females. Unfortunately, 41.93% of females in the district are living in poverty. I am committed to work to ensure that every woman in the state of Florida receives equal pay for doing equal jobs to men. Together, we will close the gender pay gap for those with equal qualifications and experience. Learn more
I believe we should be investing more into the professions that invest in our greatest resource. Although new teachers in Florida are expected to earn $47,500 annually, the state has done very little to reward our veteran and experienced teachers. I want to change how we approach educator pay by increasing veteran teacher salaries, based on their years of service to the industry and effectiveness in schools. Learn more
