Get StartedCivil rights are under attack and I will fight for stronger laws preventing any discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender, race, ethnicity, age, ability, and religion. I will also advocate for comprehensive criminal justice reform. Learn more
Each year, the state requires our teachers and school administrators to do more with less. I will fight to ensure that teachers and schools have the necessary resources to educate our children, and that the Education Cost Sharing formula considers all factors that can impede a child’s education, all while maintaining adequate resources throughout our cities, suburbs, and rural areas. Education is a top priority to me. We must ensure that every child has access to quality education and affordable college, and make crucial investments in trade schools, community colleges, and job-training programs to help fill the thousands of vacant trade jobs currently available in our state. We simply cannot continue to turn our backs on climate change and the environment. This is not a partisan issue. Investing in renewable energy and strengthening our state’s environmental laws will ensure our natural resources are protected for generations to come. We are already experiencing the harmful effects of more severe weather events such as the macroburst storm that devastated our area on May 15. Our health, economy, and future depend on maintaining our environment and that starts with increased climate change awareness and education in our communities and schools, increased investments in renewable energy, and divestment from fossil fuels. I will continue to support and fight for stronger gun control laws by banning ghost guns, closing purchasing and background check loopholes, and supporting reasonable limits on where and when people can carry a loaded weapon. Learn more
As federal policies make it harder for working families to access healthcare, we must do everything we can to ensure all Connecticut residents have access to affordable healthcare including prenatal, mental health, and disabled care. We must also hold pharmaceutical companies accountable for price gouging and make certain that people have access to the medicine they need. Learn more
Our crumbling infrastructure is lowering our quality of life and devastating our economy. Investing in infrastructure to improve our roads, bridges, wireless connections, deep water ports, high speed rail, and public transit will broaden our economic base, create jobs, and improve commute times. ’s an outrage that the state keeps trying to balance the budget on the backs of hardworking families instead of closing the tax loopholes awarded to corporations and those individuals already at the top. I will fight to close those loopholes that they use to avoid paying their fair share of taxes and direct our resources to the needs of working families. Learn more
I support working families and will fight to strengthen unions and workers’ rights by advocating for continued access to collective bargaining, creating safe working environments, raising the minimum wage, and imposing stronger consequences for work-place harassment. Learn more
