We need to support our teachers and our school staff, getting them the training and programs they need. We have to cut way back on mandates in schools and we need to get the right resources to the right people so our kids can succeed. Learn more
We also need to pay our newest teachers better salaries. We need to work on outreach to our college students and we need to find a way to offer incentives for them to become teachers. Learn more
No one should mandate how we build our cars or how many vehicles sold per year must be electric—another technology that just isn’t reliable enough to use in our state. This must be reversed immediately upon returning to St. Paul. I am committed to working on our energy policies in Minnesota to improve affordability and reliability. Learn more
This government overreach went way too far. Government is there to protect and to educate, but not to force us into making personal medical decisions or to take away our freedoms. Government is not there to mandate what businesses can or can’t be open or who is an “essential” worker and who is not. Learn more
Our infrastructure in Minnesota needs some work. We have to focus on dedicating more of our sales tax income to improving and maintaining our roads and bridges in rural Minnesota. That does not include more funding for the metro’s light rail system. Learn more
One of my top priorities right now is to lower the tax rates for people of all income levels in Minnesota. We’re obviously collecting far too many dollars because we still have 9 billion on the bottom line. That absolutely needs to come back to the people of Minnesota in the form of tax reductions. We need to eliminate the tax on social security income for our senior citizens. Minnesota is only one of 12 states in the nation that still taxes social security. That’s not how we want to treat our senior citizens. Learn more
