Get StartedI support the City’s Twenty is Plenty program to slow traffic on neighborhood roads as well as intersection redesign measures to slow traffic down. I personally appreciate the signs that measure my speed and remind me to slow down. Learn more
I support MPD Chief Barnes’ vision for community policing rooted in community trust and engagement. I further believe that community policing strategy should be informed by an anti-racist lens, including improvements to the collection and reporting of police encounter data such as information from the upcoming body camera pilot program. I support the City Water Utility’s work to protect our water and secure the community’s trust in their management of this precious resource. Learn more
I support reasonable development projects that bring additional housing to Madison, particularly housing for families near employment centers and along transit corridors. Corresponding to the BRT system, Madison Metro recently redesigned the bus service network to consolidate service and prioritize a “ridership model”. These changes will result in a loss of through-neighborhood service in our district 3 neighborhoods while increasing the frequency of service along some of the around-neighborhood roads like Milwaukee Street, Cottage Grove Road, and East Washington Avenue. I’m glad to see more frequent service but I’m very concerned about the loss of our neighborhoods’ through-service and I want to see the City consider the cost and potential plans to restore or improve service to our neighborhoods.
