I believe DEI initiatives help everyone, as they help adjust the scales of justice for people who have historically been shut out of opportunities to rise. When people rise, the tax base increases, education levels increase, and crime rates go down. Learn more
I support balanced economic development and innovation that advances our communities and economic benefits to our residents. The thrust should be classic future-oriented development focused on high tech and NASA, new space, human exploration of Moon and Mars, and Houston SpacePort. Selected renewable/clean energy, batteries, hydrogen should be supported or managed locally. Advanced education will stimulate technical advances as well as provide training for a variety of work from technologist to scientist. Learn more
As your representative I will fight against withholding public education funds (district) and fight for fully funding our school districts. This last legislative session left district funding increases buried in committee, where it died without coming to a vote. As a result, districts are facing budget deficits for the 2024-25 school year. Learn more
I will fight against deceptive advertising that promotes school vouchers as giving parents ‘a choice‘ of where to educate their child. In truth, vouchers only provide ‘school choice’ for parents who are financially able and willing to augment the 8,000 per year school voucher. The ‘chosen’ private school’s tuition will be much higher. Learn more

Common sense gun laws, developed in collaboration with law enforcement, can strengthen public safety and reduce gun violence and crime. And commonsense gun laws will not involve confiscating weapons from law-abiding, stable, and responsible gun owners. They will target individuals who are determined by society to be unstable or involved with the criminal justice system or known as threatening individuals. Finally, common sense gun laws will keep high powered weapons out of the hands of underaged youth. Learn more
I am for making public safety a priority, and common-sense gun laws will make a difference. Learn more
Legislators cite many reasons not to expand Medicaid, but Medicaid expansion will not only reduce taxpayer burden for unfunded medical care, but it will also keep rural health clinics and hospitals open. In the last decade, 26 rural hospitals have closed. Since federal COVID-19 relief funding is running out, it is predicted that 77 more facilities are at risk of closing and 29 are at immediate risk. This leaves rural Texans in a healthcare desert, having to travel hours to the nearest open facility. And, in a dire medical emergency, Texans will die in transit as they are forced to seek care in a distant town. . Learn more
As your legislative representative, I will fight to expand Medicaid for vulnerable Texans. Learn more
As your representative of TX129, I will use the skills I developed in helping make Exploration Green happen to continue reinventing the Bay Area into a community that will not only increase the beauty and access of our suburb, but will protect our homes, increase our health and safety and our quality of life.
