Get StartedKansans made it loud and clear–liberty and freedom in this country includes women's reproductive rights. Whether you are someone who may need access or you simply know someone who may, Eli will constantly defend that right in the statehouse. Read more. Learn more
I will support legislation that eliminates barriers to liberty and justice for all. Learn more
I am hopeful that with a combination of some hard work, critical thinking, and empathy for these different lived realities, the Kansas House can come up with solutions to address this problem. Whether it is tackling the minimum wage, passing tax relief work working class folks, or making sure corporations and millionaires pay their fair share of taxes– solutions exist. And new solutions are possible! Learn more
The educational system is outdated. We haven’t been making the small, necessary changes over the past few decades. This issue affects Kansans daily. This goes beyond just paying teachers more. All schools need access to quality learning resources. All students deserve to be fed. All schools need adequate numbers of fairly-paid support staff like mental health professionals, bus drivers, para professionals. Learn more

All schools need access to quality learning resources. All students deserve to be fed. All schools need adequate numbers of fairly-paid support staff like mental health professionals, bus drivers, para professionals. This is just the beginning, but we can create the momentum to make the big changes that are necessary. Learn more
I am an educator and I have seen firsthand both how transformational access to quality education can be but also how challenging learning can be when schools are not adequately resourced. A student’s zip code should not determine their likelihood of success in the classroom. Learn more
Let’s work towards a world where the energy we use does not put our health or our environment in danger. Let’s hold big corporations accountable for their destruction of our beautiful environment. I will fight for solutions in the statehouse that do exactly that. Learn more
When Kansans and Americans make their voices heard, those voices should be respected. Instead of spreading misinformation about voter fraud and questioning the integrity of elections, elected officials should honor the results of the election. Instead of supporting or participating in an insurrection, elected officials and members of the public should communicate their disappointment in a safe and democratic way. Instead of voting for legislation that makes voting more difficult or takes the power of the vote away from the people, I will vote for legislation that makes the voting process easier and legislation that affirms the power of the democratic vote.. Learn more
Everyone deserves unobstructed access to voting. While some in the Statehouse are actively trying to make the voting process more difficult– specifically for historically underserved groups– this is not okay. Not everyone has the same “path” to voting on Election Day. Some folks work hours that prevent them from making it to the polls, while others have trouble finding transportation or childcare. If your path to voting on Election Day is a simple one, that’s great! But we need to lift up those who are being actively suppressed, so they have that same access to democracy. Learn more
No one is coming for your guns, unless you are someone who shouldn’t have them in the first place. I respect responsible gun owners and collectors. I learned about responsible gun ownership as a child, from my dad. He also taught me marksmanship skills, as we would shoot targets from our deck into the backyard of our home. If you’re a responsible gun owner, with guns for hunting, marksmanship, or self-defense, I will defend your right to reasonable and responsible ownership. Learn more
Reasonable and responsible gun ownership should be the norm, not fear and anxiety about “where next.” An overwhelming number of Americans support measures to curb gun violence like expanded background checks and "red flag" laws. I will fight for those measures beside you. Learn more
The potential number of solutions seems endless. But the cost of saving lives is priceless. So instead of ignoring the humanity of the real people affected, hiding behind dumb arguments like “but how will we pay for it,” I’m ready to work with others in the Kansas House who have proposed solutions like expanding Medicaid and other ideas that will solve this crisis. We can be smart about our state's budget while also keeping our citizens alive and well. Learn more

Rental costs have skyrocketed over the past few years, and recent inflation driven by corporate greed only adds fuel to the fire. When the cost of housing “eats” a substantial portion of your income, other bills and other priorities get left outstanding. Specific to the rental market, when corporations are allowed to purchase residential homes, it’s no surprise they ratchet up the rental price, far above the home’s value. This predatory practice has to stop. Learn more
Let’s hold corporations accountable for their greed and keep them from snatching up residential properties. Let’s get the rental and home ownership markets back under control. And let’s lift up those around us who are experiencing homelessness. I’m ready to fight for all of those things in the statehouse, with whatever solutions it takes. Learn more
Rural communities have similar needs to larger communities, but the impact of ignoring those needs is a unique kind of pain. Support for growing crops and maintaining land is critical; applying for and receiving that support should be a clear and seamless process. That process also includes the need for high speed internet, in all rural communities, not just some. Broadband internet also gives rural communities access to critical healthcare needs. And many, to cover these costs and others, rely on Social Security and Medicare. These are real solutions that real people in our rural communities need. I hear you and I will fight for those solutions and for your needs. Learn more
