Get StartedNo matter what happens in Congress or the Supreme Court, we need to make sure women have access to reproductive rights in Rhode Island. That's why I introduced a Senate bill that repeals all unconstitutional language from our books and codifies access to abortion into state law. In June 2019, we made history when the Reproductive Privacy Act passed the Senator floor and was signed by Governor Raimondo. Learn more
Everyone, regardless of where you're from, what you look like, where you live, or who you love, deserves to live in a Rhode Island that works for all of us. I’ve advocated on behalf of LGBTQ youth in foster care. I’ve stood up for immigrant and refugees in our state and across our country. I’ve fought for fair pay. I’ve spoken out against anti-Semitism and I’ll continue to work to eliminate systemic racism and sexism in our laws. Learn more

I have worked to ensure people can control their own health care decision making, including changing our law so pregnant teenagers can consent to prenatal care, and ensure people can make end of life care decisions. In 2013, I joined the Senate ready to make family leave a reality for Rhode Island workers. Since then, I've continued to fight to for the leave to cover more workers, for more reasons, for a longer period of time, with a higher wage replacement. Learn more
