We live in the country's wealthiest state--we can make necessary policy changes to introduce a $15/hr minimum wage sooner than 2020, and we must protect this wage from plateauing as it tends to do. Learn more

I stand in agreement with the findings posted in the AEI-Brookings Working Group on Paid Family Leave that shows by adopting the FAMILY Act (Gillibrand-DeLauro) in Maryland we can provide the same 12 weeks of leave provided by the FMLA, but get paid for it at no extra costs to businesses. As your voice in the General Assembly, I will work with others to make the FAMILY Act work with existing state programs to be deliver the greatest benefit to all Marylanders. Learn more
