He will advocate to expand the federal background checks requirement, closing the so-called “Charleston loophole” to allow background check operators more time to do their jobs. He will push to pass national “Red Flag” laws, repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) that protects arms manufacturers from liability, and ensure that guns are used and stored responsibly.
