We need our schools to prepare children for the career of their choice across all sectors – from health care to STEM to manufacturing. We should invest in stronger career training programs in our public schools, increase opportunities for apprenticeships and internships, and expand access to community college and trade programs. As the former president of Windsor’s Board of Education and a founding partner of the Windsor Education Foundation, I am uniquely qualified to tackle these challenges. Learn more
We need to leverage our existing transportation assets to anchor economic development. The towns in this district have an international airport and two train stations – we should focus on creating walkable, pedestrian friendly communities that raise the quality of life for our current residents and businesses, and attract new employers and residents to the area. Smart investment in transit-oriented development will promote small business growth, expand our tax base and help alleviate the tax burden on our residents. Learn more
