Get StartedI will always vote for policies that strengthen and protect our families. Government must never attempt to take the place of parents. I am pro-life, and hope that we can continue to take steps to offer abortion alternatives to those struggling with that heartbreaking decision. Learn more
We have a very diverse district, and the needs of North Scottsdale are different from those of Fountain Hills or South Scottsdale. We have chosen to live here because we treasure our neighborhoods and communities, and keeping us safe and secure is one of the primary functions of government. I will support our police, fire and other first responders. And I will always keep in contact with our neighborhood and community groups to ensure that everyone is heard at the Capitol. Learn more
The most important issue on people’s minds today remains our economy and jobs. Providing for our families is a great challenge, and keeping Arizona’s economy growing is the only way to create the additional jobs we need. More than that, balancing our state’s budget, supporting our schools, and improving our quality of life requires a growing, thriving economy. I was proud to support Arizona’s balanced budget and will continue to firm for the taxpayers, and vote against increased taxes and over-regulation. I will be a frugal steward of your tax dollars, always seeking better and more efficient ways for the state to do its job. Learn more
We also need to consolidate school districts statewide. Scottsdale and Fountain Hills have consolidated districts and provide the best educations in the state. With more than 220 individual school districts in the state, consolidation would save massive sums of money that could be directed to teacher pay, classroom supplies, etc. Learn more
Reward good teachers, use best practices to help every school succeed, and give parents the power to direct the education of their children, regardless if they home school, go to private school, or attend one of our great public schools. The free market provides us with excellence and choice in almost every part of our lives, and those same free market forces can and will drive innovation and improved results in education. Let’s give our teachers the resources and support they need, while receiving accountability and results in return. Learn more
I oppose federally managed, top-down programs like Common Core. The diversity and requirements of Arizona’s student body is completely different than the populations of Wyoming, Vermont, or Massachusetts, so why should we be forced into the same system? I support higher standards, but I believe that Arizona can and should devise its own high standards, not surrender to Washington D.C. Learn more
We are blessed with some magnificent open spaces, and proper management and preservation is key to keep Scottsdale and Fountain Hills such a special place. Development and growth is important, but we must find the proper balance between what we are building and where we are building it. Learn more
We are a nation of immigrants and of laws. That is why we support legal immigration that attracts people who love and respect our country. Our immigration policies should be in the best interests of America and we should make no apologies for it. Amnesty is never the answers. I am proud to have the endorsement of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and applaud his no-nonsense approach to enforcing our laws. Learn more
