I respect our environment and the strides to protect what is magnificent here. While our developed city is important, it would not be the same without the surrounding and intermixed open spaces. I am the only council member that supported council oversight of the Towns on Lone Tree student housing project. I am concerned that the project will be inappropriate for the Lone Tree at John Wesley Powell area, and that it may not be in compliance with the development agreement for this parcel. Learn more
Analysis shows that one of the most effective ways to protect our long-term water supply is to facilitate conservation. In the long run, water will become significantly more precious, requiring more conservation and groundwater recharging. This will require improved treatment of our waste water to meet evolving federal and state standards, and to assure the quality of our supplies. The long-term availability of high-quality drinking water is an overriding necessity. Learn more
