I will fight to promote automatic voter registration, so that the right to vote is there if you wish to exercise it. Further, I will work with colleagues to strike down Ohio's policy of voter purging, so that no other Ohioan has to feel the shame that I felt when I was told I wasn't allowed to exercise a fundamental American right. Joe also has a plan to get high schoolers "right to work." We have coined the term not in the sense of stealing the rights to organize, but rather to provide real opportunities for teenagers to walk right to work in the workforce. Currently our state says they support this concept, however, there are numerous trade jobs available, and any Union you speak with will tell you they are understaffed. As Representative, I will make Lake Erie's health and survival a DAY ONE GOAL, proposing Legislation to allocate $500 million dollars from the Rainy Day Fund to ensure it has adequate funding from the state, regardless of the current General Assembly and federal government's inaction. Learn more
