Get StartedAs we reopen Wisconsin, we should support all efforts to implement an extensive COVID-19 testing and tracking system to keep us safe and working. Small businesses, family farms, and entrepreneurs have taken a hit during this economic downturn and need to be supported as they work to pay their employees a living wage. Our tax dollars should not be siphoned off from supporting them by promising millions of dollars to foreign companies. Additional jobs can be created while improving our infrastructure with new bridges, better roads, and supporting communities with their green economy efforts. Learn more
We need to restore our state’s investment for public schools by increasing the funding back to the levels before Act 10 and providing funding to communities that offer full-day 4K preschool. We must return local control over education to our communities by removing the revenue limits. It’s also imperative that we reinvest in higher education both to our world-class UW System and our essential Technical Colleges while making these schools more affordable to our students. A strong educational system will support and attract businesses to our state. Learn more
After the previous administration’s corporate anti-science agenda, we have to make up for years of inaction and protect our precious ecosystems and natural resources. Wisconsin needs to rectify the damage already done and move towards a 21st-century green future that includes a focus on renewable energies. Learn more
We must end the political dysfunction in Madison. The power struggle between the legislature and our governor has hurt the people of Wisconsin. Robin Vos’ refusal to delay voting during the height of the pandemic put people at grave risk. Voting should be safe and accessible for all Wisconsinites without creating artificial barriers aimed to suppress. Members of both parties must come together to pass true bipartisan legislation on major issues. We need political accountability from our legislators to redraw fair voting district boundaries and end the undemocratic gerrymandering by any political party. Learn more
Wisconsin must support and welcome them into BadgerCare or Medicaid to ensure that everyone has access to affordable healthcare. Our system must be improved to allow greater access to women’s health services, low-cost prescription drugs, mental health services and opioid addiction services to address health inequality across the state. We should continue to invest in our medical research, so Wisconsin continues to be at the forefront of solving challenging public health issues. Learn more
Our current tax code places too much of a burden on the middle class. In the last few decades under Robin Vos, Wisconsin has lost billions by refusing to use federal dollars to expand Medicaid. Instead, the legislature made it harder for children and families to receive medical care. Recently, Wisconsin lost 25 million dollars because the state legislature did not act in time to receive the federal money offered to all states. Deals made with foreign companies such as Foxconn were not properly scrutinized, leaving taxpayers in jeopardy and further burdening our state budget with the problems of large corporations.
