Get StartedOne of my first acts as a candidate was to sign the Fair Maps Pledge. If elected, I will support an independent, non-partisan commission to draw district maps. This way, the people can choose their representatives, not the other way around. This is not a radical idea. In fact, voters in Monroe, Wood, and Portage counties have all overwhelmingly supported fair maps. Learn more
Fixing health care will take a lot of work, and it won't be quick or easy. But there is something our legislature could do right now that would help a lot of people: expand Medicaid. As of today, 39 states have expanded Medicaid. In fact, Wisconsin is the only state in the Midwest that hasn't. Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, and Ohio have all expanded Medicaid. This is not a partisan issue. "Red" states (like Idaho and West Virginia) and "blue" states (like New York and California) have expanded Medicaid. If elected, I would support expanding Medicaid in Wisconsin. This would bring insurance to more than 80,000 Wisconsin residents. Learn more
Our roads and bridges are in desperate need of repair. You don't need to drive far in Wisconsin before you find yourself hitting bumps and potholes. It's been like this a long time. So why haven't our representatives fixed it yet? We need to prioritize our infrastructure. Not only will this make our roads and bridges safer, it will also bring much-needed jobs to our communities. Instead, our legislature has spent money on wasteful projects like Foxconn, which cost taxpayers more than $3 billion. This is money that could have been spent on our infrastructure. Learn more
