Get StartedOne of Minnesota’s greatest traditions is under threat – the family farm. I have been working to understand the challenges family farmers face as they try to earn an honest living while being good stewards of the land they love. Sadly, the entire system inside which we force farmers to operate is driving family farms out of existence. We need to change that!. Learn more
I firmly believe in the value of public education and will support better funding for pre-K, K-12, and a more rational college tuition system at the University of Minnesota and throughout the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) system. I’ll bolster public/private partnerships for high school students seeking a career in the lucrative trades. And I’ll work to attract talented teachers into this honorable profession and will advocate to pay them what they are truly worth. Learn more
I will fight for economic growth while simultaneously working to champion better environmental protections. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink can never be too free of Man-made chemicals. And the wildlife and our Minnesota wilderness deserve our respect, too. Learn more
I believe Minnesota has a unique opportunity to reengineer our economy to take advantage of technology advancements that fundamentally alter our carbon footprint. We can spur economic growth in energy, transportation, farming, and many other fields with a reframing of the regulatory framework in each of these sectors to allow capitalism and the markets to dramatically reduce or even end carbon emissions. We just need political courage to solve this challenge, but we need that courage now. I will support comprehensive, integrated approaches to solving our carbon dilemma. Learn more
I back universal background checks as a common sense measure, and am open to Red Flag Laws if we can craft them in an effective, respectful way. We already know 80 percent of Minnesotans support universal background checks, so, let’s enact this law immediately. Learn more
I’ll advocate for a Minnesota health care system that focuses on patients, not profits; a system that delivers quality, comprehensive health care at affordable costs to everyone; and a system that prizes preventative care for everyone so people stay healthy. Learn more
