Get StartedAll life is worth protecting, especially those incapable of defending themselves. I believe life begins at conception. Albany has unfortunately gone radically far-left on this issue and has passed legislation allowing abortion even at nine months near birth. I will support any legislation that will reduce the number of abortions in this country, I oppose abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or if the life of the Mother is in danger. Learn more
Thanks to the leadership of Republicans employing smart tough on crime strategies we have seen dramatic decreases in crime in New York over the years. Unfortunately, out of touch liberals like Mayor Bill De Blasio with his anti-police policies has put New Yorkers in danger. With the election of President Donald J. Trump, Law Enforcement finally has someone in the White House who has respect for the Constitution and the Rule of Law. When I am in Congress I will do everything I can to be an advocate for the police officers, the firefighters, and other first responders. Learn more
We are facing one of the worst drug crises in American history. Last year alone 70,000 Americans lost their lives to drug overdoses. You are now more likely to die from a drug overdose than from firearms or car accidents. This is a big problem where I live on Staten Island. I have lost several friends who I grew up with over the years, so this issue is personal to me. When I am in Congress, this will be one of my top priorities to address and I will do everything in power to ensure we have the resources to take on this challenge head-on. Learn more
I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Our Founding Fathers placed it in the Bill of Rights for our own protection. Gun violence is a great tragedy and should be addressed but Career politicians in Albany have passed feel-good measures like the NY SAFE Act which do nothing to prevent gun violence and simply punish law-abiding citizens. This kind of gun control will make it more difficult for a father to defend his home from a burglar, make it more difficult for a young woman to defend herself from a would-be assailant, and only serves to empower criminals over their victims. When I am in Washington, I will stand up for the people of Staten Island and South Brooklyn to defend themselves. Learn more
Staten Island has one of the highest rates of autism in the country. I have three very loved family members who are autistic. I will be a fierce advocate for securing funding for research as well as support for programs to help autistic persons and their families based in their home communities. As a Congressman, I want to ensure that we investigate what is causing this to happen and incentivize our best doctors and scientists to come up with solutions. Learn more
Now is the time for our country to be able to obtain healthcare services and insurances without government mandates that increase costs and restrict freedoms. Healthcare freedom is allowing you to choose and purchase insurance that best suits your specific health needs. The freedom to choose your own health insurance is something that has not existed since long before Obamacare and that is a real problem which continues to hurt many Americans today. It is an absolute necessity to abolish the regulations that are causing costs to skyrocket. Additionally, incentivizing, instead of penalizing, young Americans to obtain healthcare coverage will help offset growing healthcare costs. I will fight for complete individual autonomy when it comes to Healthcare access. Learn more
While it may seem far away from us in New York City, we are seeing the consequences of out of control illegal immigration. Routinely illegal immigrants are given special treatment over American citizens in our education, healthcare, and criminal justice systems. Illegal immigrants work outside the law often for less than minimum wage, pricing law-abiding Americans out of work. Even if we deport criminals, because of our porous border, criminals easily return to the United States to re-offend. We need to enforce the law, secure our borders, and restore our sovereignty. We need meaningful border security, especially because there is a humanitarian crisis at the Southern Border. Drug and human traffickers were empowered by the Obama Administration, and unfortunately, Democrats have continued to block President Trump from building the wall and modernizing our border control. Congressman Max Rose is one of those Democrats, which is why he must be replaced. Learn more
The current tax code is far too intricate and strenuous. We must streamline taxes in new innovative ways such as a simple flat tax that can be straightforwardly formatted on a postcard under the current system, repealing the 16th Amendment and going to national sales tax, or exploring the idea of a federalist approach and allowing states to collect taxes as they see feasible to the treasury. We must minimize the annual burden and decrease the cost of the tangled and elaborate federal tax code. Completing tax filings should be undemanding and effortless for every American. Learn more
