Get StartedPersonally, I feel that every life is precious and should be protected as much as possible. The world is not so black-and-white, though. The severe detriment to quality of life and certain circumstances require exception that only trained medical professionals can advise on. Additionally, decisions that are as life changing as abortion should be handled by those closest to the situation; those who understand the risks and have been informed to the fullest extent possible: the mothers. While I believe our local police and sheriff department in Kandiyohi has been serving dutifully, there are many issues facing police departments nationwide and what I believe to be undeniable evidence of neglect in certain precincts. We need to ensure that Kandiyohi does not get impacted by laws that are passed with only urban policing issues in mind. Learn more
I'll be the first to say that I don't know a lot about farming, but I am a fast learner and a great listener and want to help ensure we give our farmers the support they need with as little interruption to their lives as possible. Federal agencies have done a great job staving away recession after covid, but Americans, and more importantly my constituents, face higher wage to rent/mortgage rates than any time before. We need more housing in rural America, and after the post-covid migration remote work movement to greater Minnesota, many other counties are in similar situations. We as a state need to come together and help fix this issue. Learn more
As America has moved towards necessitating two-earner households, a lot of people feel left in the dust with what to do with their kids while they work to fuel our economy.
