We need to have sufficient staffing within our communities to address situations as varied as domestic violence, school issues, traffic issues and the safety of our businesses and citizens. Each of these can require a different response. Learn more
At a statewide level, we need to provide means for all Indiana students to find education after high school. This may mean college or training in the trades. Both need to be emphasized from the top of the state down to our communities. Learn more
We need to do more to encourage consistent quality education to all residents of the state. Often this can take the form of charter schools. Often it can be an expansion of the local schools to address the needs of the local population. Learn more
I will work to ensure that all of our students get the best education they can, working with our school boards to address each systems unique needs. Often to help children learn, we do need to be aware of social needs that impact the learning environment for the students. Learn more

I fully support the 2nd amendment but do not support any laws that tend to expand or restrict the 2nd amendment beyond what our founders intended. We need reasonable controls to ensure the safety of all. Learn more
The first and foremost is to help people enroll in the ACA. This does provide a path to coverage and care that is affordable for all. We can look at ways to alleviate the cost for those that have issues outside of the normal programs for coverage. We need to work with our townships to help find proper care for those without insurance. Learn more
We need to fully support additional access to mental health providers. At a state level, we need to encourage more of our residents to choose mental health as a profession. Learn more
In addition, we need to enact laws that require insurers to cover mental health providers at the same level as they do medical providers. Learn more
We need to find ways to start initial screenings at high school levels to make sure our children leave school with a level mind set. Learn more
In addition to local transportation issues, Indiana should look at implementing a system of public transportation throughout the central part of Indiana. Learn more
Need a strong system of cross routes to supplement the strong spoke and hub system currently in use. I will work within our communities to ensure full support at the state level for local growth of transportation and ensure that the state is not an impediment to this process. Learn more
We need an affordable system for families to find the proper childcare for their families. This means we need proper licensing, monitoring and education methods for the facilities within our communities. Learn more
We also need those facilities to be affordable to members of our communities. This may mean either a state based subsidy to providers or users through direct grants or tax subsidies. We can also work with employers to find ways to meet the needs of their employees. Learn more
