Get StartedThe best way to prevent abortions is to prevent unplanned pregnancy. We can do this by providing accurate and comprehensive sex education to both young men and women. This will especially help reduce teen pregnancies. Learn more
I would like to reduce the number of abortions in Ohio and the U.S. However, focusing on its legal status is misguided. There have always been abortions, whether they’re legal or illegal. Learn more
Ohio’s current leaders have passed legislation that is hurting public schools. While I believe parents should have choice in where they send their kids to school, I do not support sending public tax money to private schools that are not held to the same ineffective report card standards as public schools. If the money goes to a private school, it should be evaluated the same as a public school. Learn more
I support more investment in pre-kindergarten services and protecting the funding for students facing developmental disabilities and who need special education services. Learn more
It is time to take action at the state and local level. Supporting renewable energy sources makes sense for both businesses and the environment. We can invest in local infrastructure that will both promote quality of life, additional jobs, and have less impact on the environment. Learn more
I support common sense gun policies that won’t affect responsible gun owners (like myself). Gun Violence Restraining Orders allow family, friends, and law enforcement to help people facing a crisis who, with a gun in their possession, might be a risk to themselves or others. I support Extreme Risk Protection Orders which allow police, with a court order, too remove a gun temporarily from someone who might be at risk of harming themselves or another person. Learn more
I believe it’s possible to protect the 2nd Amendment and protect families and communities from senseless gun violence. States that already require background checks for all purchases have fewer suicides by gun, fewer law enforcement officers shot and killed, and fewer women killed by an intimate partner. Learn more
That’s why I believe good medical care is a right. Not a privilege for the lucky ones who land the right job at the right company. No one should ever have to consider bankruptcy, or lose their job, because they got sick, or were in an accident. Likewise, no one should be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition.
