Get StartedAs a county, Cobb is subject to the Constitution of the State of Georgia. Our current Board of Commissioners (BOC) leadership has decided that they are not obligated to follow the letter of the law and have directly violated the Legislature to impose their own will on the re-districting lines as Constitutionally written and approved by our Governor. When challenged, they voted to use our taxpayer dollars to defend their creative legal gambit and were ruled against by Superior Court Judge Ann Harris. They then voted to once again use our tax dollars to appeal her decision. Candidates are now in limbo about what district they can qualify in, and residents are increasingly confused about who they are represented by on the BOC. This is a blatant abuse of power by our duel elected commission majority. We must get the BOC back to following the rule of law and stop wasting our taxpayer dollars. Learn more

The BOC majority continues to vote to hire outside consultants to create programs and policies when we have highly qualified experts already on staff or Cobb businesses with the expertise to provide similar consulting. Keep it in Cobb! Millions of dollars have gone outside of Cobb to pay for studies better completed by those who live and work in Cobb and have our county's best interests at heart. Learn more
Implement affordable housing solutions that do not urbanize our suburban lifestyle. Learn more
In addition to the increase in property taxes, the commission majority has proposed yet another burdensome tax with the M-SPLOST (Mobility Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax). Citizens on the verge of poverty and our seniors on fixed incomes will suffer disproportionately. One cent on every dollar when you buy a large appliance will add up quickly. One cent on every dollar when purchasing school supplies will add up quickly. We cannot let this tax be imposed. Learn more
