Education is the backbone of how we advance in our society, how we grow, innovate, adapt and stay competitive on the global stage. We need to ensure that our state colleges and universities remain within the reach of all Minnesotans. Our teachers should not need to work second jobs to make ends meet, as many of them do. More than ever, mental health professionals are needed in our schools. Fully funding education is the way we work towards these goals! No more half measures.

Healthcare and all the factors that affect coverage, quality, accessibility, and cost — these are things I know far too well. This is mainly due to having been born with Cystic Fibrosis. Access to affordable healthcare is so vitally important to all of our well being as citizens.
