According to NEA.org Maine ranks 45th in the nation for average starting salary while ranking 14th in price per-student spending. We must do a better job at paying our educators to help mitigate the shortage. This is an issue we must address now and as your Senator, I will do everything possible to bring this issue to light. There must be accountability at all levels as to what we the taxpayers are getting for our money.
