Get StartedDespite strong job growth, poverty in Northeast Columbus remains high. Stagnant wages, little social mobility, and a crumbling infrastructure all hold our district back from its true potential. By giving working class people the ability to contribute to their local economy and organize for better conditions, we can reinvigorate Ohio’s struggling middle class. I will pursue an immediate and comprehensive agenda to economically empower the residents of District 25 and Ohio. Learn more
As an educator, I am troubled by the poor educational outcomes in District 25. Research shows wealthier districts earn higher grades and acquire better jobs compared to lower-income districts who have little access to quality teachers, staff, and classroom resources. I will introduce legislation to address inequality in our public schools, secure adequate funding, attract and retain teachers and staff, and pursue accountability to eliminate corruption and injustice. Carbon-fueled climate change threatens all biological life on Earth. We must ban the extraction and combustion of fossil fuels, immediately transitioning to renewable energy sources like wind, air, and water. In the process, we can create thousands of well-paid union jobs as we revitalize our infrastructure and rebuild our economy. Ohio can and should lead the country into a clean, green future. Healthcare is a human right. Every Ohioan, no matter their age, race, religion, gender, or identity, should have access to quality, affordable healthcare. It is my priority to make this aspiration a reality. Learn more
Without access to safe and affordable housing, residents of District 25 face mounting economic pressures. According to housing experts, there are 54,000 low-to-moderate income households in Franklin County paying more than half of their income in rent. Public housing should be at the forefront of Ohio’s vision for a healthier, more robust economy and community. As your representative, I will fight for the expansion of public housing in our city and across the state. Learn more
